The Silicon Valley Chapter of the UNA-USA communicates the mission of the national organization of the UNA-USA at a community level; that mission is to strengthen the United Nations system and the participation of the United States in it; incorporating the unique perspectives and strengths of the Silicon Valley in a more global orientation.

Purpose
The purpose of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the UNA-USA is to promote international peace and justice through educational and informational activities by incorporating the unique perspectives and strengths of the Silicon Valley as a center for global technology.

Functions
The functions of this chapter include the following:

a) Informing and educating citizens of all ages about the United Nations system and the role it plays in world affairs.

b) Enlarging a diverse constituency, particularly in the Bay Area, to develop policy positions and support constructive U.S. participation in the United Nations, in cooperation with other chapters of the UNA-USA.

c) Enhancing and promoting the role of the Silicon Valley in the development of economic and technological growth on a global scale.
